Dr. Kiran Kumar K

Profile

As the Director and Chief Consultant Psychiatrist of The Nirvana Center  Marathahalli, Bangalore, Dr. Kiran Kumar bring over 14 years of clinical experience as a Psychiatrist and Mental Health Doctor. Dr. Kiran Kumar completed his MBBS in 2005 and his MD in Psychiatry in 2009. He obtained the first rank in MD – Psychiatry from RGUHS and was awarded a Gold Medal besides being conferred the Best Outgoing MD (Psychiatry)  award at JSS Medical College Mysore. Dr. Kiran is a member of Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) and Indian Association of Private Psychiatry (IAPP) as a Life member. Dr. Kiran, is also a recognized post graduate teacher from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore (RGUHS). 

Dr. Kiran is deeply interested in Adult Psychiatry, Mood Disorders including Depression & Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety & Panic Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and Substance Use Disorders, among others. He is a Founding Member of “MINDS UNITED FOR HEALTH SCIENCES AND HUMANITY®” which is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting Health Sciences and Humanity. He is a guest speaker at several conferences and also for corporate clients. Dr. Kiran is also a researcher and his papers have been widely published in national and international publications.

Education

He completed his MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore in 2005. He then pursued his Master of Doctorate degree in Psychiatry from JSS Medical College, Mysore. He was the Gold Medallist (first rank in MD Psychiatry) from RGUHS for the Year 2009 and was the Best Outgoing MD (Psychiatry) Student from JSS Medical College, Mysore.
